Highlights of Slovenia and Croatia 2 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2019
The 8 Day tour of Slovenia and Croatia was fast moving, 2000+ kilometres in 7 days, but nonetheless amazing and spectacular. Highlights included the huge Postojna Caves, Split and the beautiful Dalmatian Coast, Dubrovnik, and the Plitvice Lakes National Park, and we loved Ljubljana even if we couldn't quite get the pronunciation right. Our tour leader, ...read more Oki, did a good job. Oki was very organised, and needed to be because of the fast pace of the tour. Thank you Yvonne for finding this tour which allowed us to see Croatia tagged onto the tour of Ireland.
Beautiful Croatia 5 , VIC, Australia, Sep 2018
I am really glad I did this tour. Croatia was such a beautiful country. Our tour director was wonderful. The hotels were below expectation though.
Ljubljana to Ljubljana 3 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2018
We would like to thank Georgie again for a wonderful job organising everything for us and going out of her way to see to the small details. It was a wonderful 8 day tour a little bit rushed in places but all the hotels were of good quality.
Outstanding holiday   3 , WA, Australia, Oct 2017
We arrived in ljubljana the start of the tour. We fell in love with this beautiful city, our first contact was from the pick up at the airport, we were greeted with a friendly smile, then onto the friendly staff at the M Hotel, a neat clean room was very welcoming. The city is charming, as we were there at the end of the tourist season, it was very ...read more slow paced and enjoyable to walk around.

Croatia was fantastic, all accommodation provided was great. All the old cities visited were truely gorgeous, Split was my favourite, with its beautiful water and a Venice feel in the old city. All local guides were outstanding in every stop we made. The tour Director was an amazing man, funny, but professional when needed. Value for money holiday again.
Wow what stunning scenery & history, thoroughly enjoyable experience.   0 , WA, Northam, Jun 2017
In my belief this tour could be extended to 10 days so more time can be spent exploring such amazing cities & country wonders. Thank you to our tour director & bus driver for making us feel safe & sharing this amazing history.
A great trip exploring Slovenia and Croatia 0 , VIC, Australia, May 2017
A well organised trip. Thank you Yvonne for your attention to detail and your communication with us through out the planning stage.
8 Day Scenic Slovenia & Croatia 0 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2017
The tour as a whole was very good. 35 people all got along very well with lots of laughs. The tour leader was very good. He looked after us very well. Global Journeys was easy to book with. This was my 5 tour with the Globus brand and I would book with Global Journeys again.
Value for money 2 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2016
Love travelling with Cosmos. Perhaps include Lake Bled as included or an optional excursion. Such a beautiful place shouldn't be missed.
Interesting tour 0 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2016
This tour travels a large distance in a short time, you see lots of sights. Hotels and tours were good and our guide was excellent.

We enjoyed traveling with Cosmos nice tour excellent tour guide. A lot to see in such relative short time. Thanks.
Overall we enjoyed the trip 0 , VIC, Australia, Oct 2015
Overall we enjoyed the trip. Must commend the driver's excellent driving. There was never a moment our safety was compromised. Smooth from start to finish. The tour guide is very well versed in the areas' history. However tends to be too detail and serious that many of of the travellers were seen dozing off including my husband! A little bit of humour ...read more would be great. He reminds me of my high school History teacher trying to cram all the historical dates into our heads!
We both had a wonderful time 2 , Australia, Jul 2015
Croatia and Slovenia are both beautiful and interesting places to visit. We both had a wonderful time exploring the many places we visited. The coach was large and comfortable. We had a large group, 46 people! It was well organised and all went smoothly. The hotels were basic, with the exception of the hotel in Dubrovnik which was exceptional. Beautiful ...read more large room and great infinity pool. This was a definite highlight of the tour. We were very disappointed in Hotel Bosnia. The receptionist was very abrupt and rude. When we got to our room, we found that one of our suitcases was severely damaged. It had been dragged up the stairs and the wheel ripped off along with the whole corner of the suitcase! The hotel refused to take responsibility! The tour guide put in an incident report to Cosmos but have not heard anything from them so far. We then had to spend a day tracking down a new suitcase as the damage left the other suitcase unusable. Other than this incident it was an enjoyable holiday.
Very well organized and very professional 0 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
I loved this tour as I have always wanted to go to The Balkins, the tour pace was fast but the tour Director, Occie was very well organized and very professional making the pace of tour easy and exciting. Slovenia is the jewel in the crown and I spent an extra 5 days there and really enjoyed this very safe country. Croatia is quiet commercial and caters ...read more for the tourist in contract to Bosnia which is a country still struggling with the aftermath of war. The cross section of people on tour was great as I am a single mature traveller, the age groups also blended well.
Despite the pace we did enjoy our experience 0 , VIC, Australia, May 2015
We enjoyed this tour and learnt a lot about the countries we visited. Our tour leader Vince was very knowledgeable, helpful & entertaining. Our coach driver, Tony was very courteous & an excellent driver. The one night stays & very early departure times were a little demanding, but we realised it was necessary if the distances we needed to cover were ...read more to be accomplished. Maybe the stay in the more interesting places could be extended to an extra night to allow more sightseeing of those places at a more leisurely pace. Despite the pace we did enjoy our experience & hope to do more travelling in the future.
All of the included tours were of a high quality 0 , QLD, Australia, Apr 2015
It was excellent. All of the included tours were of a high quality. We had local guides take us on a walking tour of the city in several locations and they were extremely knowledgeable and well informed. Other tours such as the caves and the National Park at Plitovich were stunningly beautiful. Most of the hotels were fine. The only one that was a bit ...read more dodgy was the one in Sarajevo where we couldn't get hot water for the shower. I gather there are not a lot of hotels to choose from however. We also did all three optional tours as well and they were excellent too. Good job!
We enjoyed it immensely 1 , Australia, Jul 2014
The tour was very good. We enjoyed it immensely. Prior to the tour, we chose to spend 3 nights at Lake Bled as we had 3 days to fill in for some R and R. I would strongly recommend visiting Lake Bled either before or after the tour as it is well worth the visit for its beautiful scenery. It only costs 6 euros on the local bus from Ljubliana. The tour ...read more itself also provided us with some excellent scenery. From the Postjana caves, we travelled down the Dalmatian coast, to Split and then Dubrovnik. The scenery was spectacular. The accommodation here was also very pleasant with its large swimming pool and access to the sea for swimming. Plitivice National Park with its amazing waterfalls was a highlight. It would have been nice to stay a night in Split or an extra night in Dubrovnik but for the price and length of the tour we felt it was value for money. Our tour director was informative and fun. We met some lovely people which helped to make our tour more enjoyable. We did the 2 optional's that were offered and enjoyed them as well. I would recommend this tour.
A really great tour 0 , Australia, Jul 2014
This was a really great tour. The tour guide Oki was excellent - there was nothing that was too much trouble. Accommodation was quite adequate. The very early starts were very tiring. It was quite a full on tour for only 6 days on the road.
A very good experience 0 , Australia, Sep 2013
It was a very good experience travelling with the tour group, with an excellent tour guide throughout the trip as well as really competent and flexible guides in the city tours. In Zagreb, we arrived in the middle of a thunderstorm, and our city guide was sensible enough to show us the most important and interesting parts of the city in the limited ...read more time we had there. Dubrovnik is mind-blowing, the real WOW factor! 0 , Australia, Jun 2013
We had a great time on this tour. The tour guide was very good and we felt safe with our driver. Some of the hotels were better than others- Tirena Hotel at Dubrovnik was excellent as was the M Hotel at Ljubljana. Most included meals were reasonable with excellent buffet breakfasts at many hotels. The optional excursions were enjoyable, particularly ...read more the fun evening at a Slovenian restaurant. Dubrovnik is mind-blowing, the real WOW factor! The Dalmatian coastal scenery is spectacular. We feel the tour would be greatly improved by the addition of a couple of extra days to include Lake Bled area. We hired a car to see this and also Kranjska Gora and to drive the Vrsic Pass. These spectacular parts of Slovenia should not be missed, stunning scenery! Also, the tour passes really close to Predjama Castle which we had to visit on our own. Thanks to Georgie at Global Journeys who was very helpful with our booking.
The early starts became wearing 0 , Australia, Sep 2012
We found that the early starts became wearing. The hotel in Zadar was too far from the town centre, but we were happy/lucky to be upgraded to a very nice hotel in Dubrovnik. Our guide Osman Kadic was very good.
