Overall the tour was very good. All the passengers got on well and the tour guide, Peter Brown was excellent making sure everyone was accounted for and all our bags. Full of knowledge and a few stories, intertwined by corny jokes. Most of them I think just to see if we were listening.

We were lucky that for the whole tour not a bad day climate wise. Definitely will travel with Costsavers in the future.

PS. The driver, Malcom (or Malty) was very good. Always up for a chat and a good driver.

We were a bit fearful of any punishing daily program, and so were pleasantly surprised that we had options not to go on all the activities. It was a dream come true for mum and I, to explore England and Scotland with CostSaver. The tour was perfect for us as this was our first time in the UK. Great tour of England and Scotland. I was not presented with my Trafalgar pack when I arrived at Ibis, so was not sure on tour start time. After breakfast next morning I went to reception and there was a Trafalgar rep in lobby, so was a little rushed to get my suitcase down to go on coach. Tour was excellent value for money having in mind this was a CostSaver tour. Alan, our Tour Director was very professional and knowledgeable. Dave's driving skills were excellent and he manouvred the coach in a very skillful manner into very tight parking spots. The tour targeted the very best areas of the UK; hotels good to excellent; the excellent service provided by both tour guide and driver; brand new state-of-the-art coach. Didn't think that it was possible to see England, Wales and Scotland in only 8 days (I am originally from England) but I disagree after this really great tour.

I found that the tour took a good pace and was not too rushed. The tour guide and the driver were friendly and pleasant and we had a fairly good bunch on the tour. The only criticism I would have would be that the 'expectation' to pay tips to both the tour guide and driver should have been made clearer from the outset or added to the cost of the tour. ...read more (Ed. We went on two tours - the first from the 22 August to the 29th August in the UK with Trafalgar tours and then on the 1st September to the 15th September to Europe with Cosmos. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour in the UK and Andrew Thomson our tour guide was a great communicator and very knowledgeable regarding the 'heritage' focus of the tour.
